UEC is seeking a Technical Writer to support a temporary operational need. This onsite role should last 6 or more months depending on program efforts. Some perks are holiday pay, overtime, and fun employee eventsResponsibilities & Duties Create and maintain technical engineering documentations Translate oral and written communication to simplistic terms in proper grammatical form. Work closely with Engineers; edit material prepared by engineers Edit and proofread documentation to ensure that it is free of errors and easy to understand. Collect user feedback to update and improve content. Develop and maintain a format to ensure consistency across all documentation. Draft Change Orders as requested. Complete assigned tasks and written reports accurately and in a timely manner. Write or revise supporting other content as requested RequirementsMinimum Requirements (Completed or the combination of either) : Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field. Associate degree in English or journalism with at least 2 years of experience. Satisfactorily achieved an academic high school diploma with 3 years related experience writing articles that were published. (i.e. social media, bulletins, etc.) Proven writing experience with a strong portfolio of work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps Able to work in an environment with changing priorities. Must be able to pass a background check.
