Role/Purpose:

The Lead Supply Chain Quality & Data Analyst will drive and support the continuous improvement of product & process quality in the supply chain (external & internal suppliers) to reduce their Cost-of-Poor-Quality and improve their Quality performance in the eyes of the customers by enhancing and standardizing Supplier Quality Management, Warranty Management with Quality Data Analytics and Tools/Tool Boxes/Skills. Drive PIUS quality enhancement through data analytics and implementing improving actions cross functionally in PIUS for all value streams by collaborating with suppliers and SBU’s globally. Will be responsible to focus on supplier quality, product warranty, quality notifications, 8D’s, problem solving, root cause analysis and driving initiatives to bring the related cost down. Additionally, the Lead role will identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions. Another principal task for this role is to maintain accurate quality records, certifications, and database screens. Conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications, travel to assigned suppliers, and lead multiple projects to completion. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability to utilize data from end-to-end through SCM to drive quality improvement. Ability to focus on quality from suppliers to customers, including warranty from customer applications. Fully master the usage of Global Sterndrive's quality toolboxes, such as GQM, MTPAP, and others, in order to effectively analyze data and identify areas for improvement. Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances. Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply. Develop long term supplier relationships and generate and implement cost reduction ideas. Aid Manufacturing in the evaluation and qualification of new supplier materials following a defined new product development process. Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting requirements. Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the supply base. Overall Supplier Quality control activities, Supplier quality improvement programs, Supplier visits. Oversee Incoming Inspection of the parts, preparation & updating the Incoming Inspection plans. Monthly Supplier defect calculation & communication to supplier. Non-Conformance Reporting related to supply chain, Warranty claim analysis and tracking. Quality Monitoring through statistical analysis and defect levels. Leverage the existing Global Quality Monitoring (GQM) system to regularly collect and measure quality-related feedback from the Market Organizations (Mos) and Channels. Timely information to the Suppliers / Procurement Dept to take corrective actions in the Process. Work with purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective action are implemented. Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with procurement to monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s, including warranty, Supplier OTD (Past due), DR and waste. Use existing toolboxes to analyze database of warranty cost, break down to value streams and continuously ensure warranty cost down through corrective actions on product. Proactively analyze QN ZX data from customer complaints and drive effective CAPA against recurrence within PO. Proactively drive continuous improvement for parts, materials purchased from MT global internal supplier with global colleagues. Establish specific short / long term supplier quality goals. Active leadership in critical Quality problems internally, with MOs or in the field with customers to ensure a proper, systematical and deep-dive process is followed to understand the problem, the risk, the containment and countermeasures. Support the organization in their efforts to achieve standard Quality Certifications (e.g., ISO9001) in a standardized fashion with a reasonable effort. What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Understanding of Good Manufacturing and QM Practices. Expertise in database analytics capability. Knowledge of various quality system methodologies Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, etc. preferred. Good overall understanding of mechanical and electrical manufacturing methods (machining, welding, forming, assembly and electrical wiring). Willing to work as needed to support production and customer needs. Develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments. Behavior Competencies: Reality: A 'hands-on' leader with a strong customer and market-driven orientation who can translate plans into action and problems into solutions ('Doer'). Courage: Particularly strong in change management and consequent implementation of strategies into execution ('change agent'). Minimum Education / Experience Required:
