**Summary**

The CDL / Restoration Supervisor will be responsible and oversee the loading and unloading of the trailer to ensure efficiency. Transport and deliver products to customers by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area. The CDL / Restoration Supervisor will be responsible for driving to and from the designated location, verifying load to shipping papers, maintaining a record of duty status according to state and federal regulations, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections. The CDL / Restoration Supervisor may lead a team of 3 to 20 employees; depending on the job assigned. This could include supervision of workers on a job site, in a mobile warehouse, tractor-trailer, or inventory management. The supervisor may be leading a team or performing the task himself depending on the size and scope of the project.

**Major Responsibilities**

* Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips and submit a written report on the condition of the truck at the beginning and end of each trip or tour of duty

* Check shipping papers to determine the nature of load and verify for accuracy

* Drive truck to and from designated destinations of up to 11 hours and a maximum of 14 hours total as DOT rules allow

* Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather. Must be able to operate equipment in all types of weather and conditions. This includes going forward and backing up long distances, around corners, and in and around very tight areas

* Requires drivers to be able to bend, stoop, kneel, pull and lift all types of hoses, equipment, and tools required to do the job weighing up to fifty pounds or more. Also, drivers must be able to climb ladders to check equipment

* Report all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment

* Report highway safety hazards noted in route

* Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to pick up or delivery of cargo

* Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including drivers record of duty status, mileage records, and other records required by law

* Be able to maneuver and handle tractor/trailers up to 53

**Background Requirements**

* Must possess valid Class A drivers license in your state

* Maintains a current Medical DOT Card

* Have a driving record in good standing, free of any major violations (DWI, reckless driving, drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, excessive moving violations, or accidents)

* Minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age and have a minimum of three (3) years verifiable driving experience

* No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years

* No repeat seat belt violations

* No high-speed moving violations in the past 3 years

* Two years experience

* Must have knowledge of vehicle safety and control of systems

* Must have knowledge of DOT Regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance

**?Knowledge and Skills:**

* Driving for period up to 2 hours that could include long-distance driving up to 5 hrs straight at a time. This could be local or out of town drives

* Normal work schedule is anywhere from 6 to 15 hours depending on the job assigned, 90% of the time you are standing

* Light to heavy lifting involved which will include boxes, furniture, and miscellaneous items

* Troubleshooting issues that may arise while at the job site

* Constant communication with Project Manager, Operations Manager, Executives, and Customer as needed depending on the job assigned.

* Must be able to meet deadlines as required based on the job assigned

* Have a positive attitude

* Be able to read maps

* Have attention to detail

* Be safety-oriented
