Hostler 3rd shift

Johnson Controls is currently hiring 3rd shift Yard Hostler who are responsible for the staging of all trailers in our yard and preparing them for loading/unloading.

They will also be required to operate the companies box truck to and from the off-site facility. Every yard Hostler will be held to the DOT commercial driver rules and regulation as well as the JCI policy and procedure.

•Operate a yard hostler, moving flatbeds and vans, or a straight truck.

•Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.

•Hook / unhook trailers to/from a hostler.

•Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including but not limited to forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.

•Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies, including but not limited to pallets, straps and rope.

•Comply with all applicable DOT laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

You must have a valid CDL license for this role. 3rd shift is 11pm - 7am Sunday night through Friday morning with mandatory overtime on Staruday
