CNC Milling Specialist in New Brighton, MN | $30/Hour

About the Opportunity: ? Job Title: CNC Milling Specialist ? Pay: $30/Hour ? Location: New Brighton, MN ? Schedule: 2nd Shift, Mon-Fri 3PM-11PM with possible O/T. Daily functions:
  1. Program CNC Mills for the most efficient machining of close tolerance work.
  2. Operate all machines, manual and CNC, safely to build molds, electrodes and related tooling.
  3. Develop the proper sequence necessary to run CNC machines most efficiently.
  4. Complete proper paperwork to track labor costs in the Tool Room.
  5. Identify problems when analyzing drawings and recommend alterations which would create a more cost-effective process.
  6. Work with other Mold makers on team projects.
  7. Train other machinists by preparing the worker, demonstrating the operation, observing the worker perform the operation, and following up.
  8. Maintain clean machines, equipment, and organized work areas.
  9. Responsibility to protect confidential information and Intellectual Property.
  10. Follow safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual.
  11. Perform other projects and duties as assigned Preferred.
Desired qualifications:
  1. Eighteen-month vocational diploma in Machining-OR-Tool, Die and Mold making.
  2. Three years experience running CNC Milling Machines.
  3. Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  4. Fundamental understanding of geometry and mathematics.
Physical requirements:
  1. Lifting 75 pounds.
  2. Standing while running machines.
  3. Manual dexterity.
  4. 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.
  5. Normal level of hearing with or without the use of a corrective device.
