Responsibilities:

About the Role:The Licensing Specialist will be responsible for managing tasks related to the management of permits and licenses necessary in the operation of Planet Fitness Corporate stores in multiple jurisdictions. In this role, you will frequently communicate with state and local agencies to confirm compliance with all application requirements and ensure all permits and licenses are maintained. This position will require close partnership with team members in both our corporate offices and corporate stores to ensure compliance with all permitting, licensing and invoicing requirements. The Licensing Specialist will also provide executive administrative support to the Sr. Director, Business Integration.

In this role you will:

  • Prepare and submit license and permit applications and renewals to state and local agencies. Track existing permits and licenses, as well as pending applications.
  • Coordinate inspections necessary to obtain and/or maintain permits and licenses.
  • Coordinate with corporate store staff to ensure compliance with license and permit regulations.
  • Assist with responding to state and local agency investigation reports and inquiries.
  • Create purchase orders for our Corporate Club Operations department. Code, process, and track all invoices.
  • Provide general administrative tasks, including but not limited to generating reports, conducting research, and supporting new club development licensing and permits requirements.
  • Provide executive administrative support, as needed


Qualifications:

About You:

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Prior experience with licensing, permitting, and invoice management required
  • 2-5 years of experience in an administrative position required
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the Company organization
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to work independently with the ability to prioritize matters while meeting strict deadlines
  • Resourceful problem solver with an upbeat, positive attitude
  • A collaborative team player that can work independently, and has the flexibility and willingness to take on other tasks as assigned
  • Exhibit confidence, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
