Travel Nurse Job Details Location: Charlotte, NC 28262 Assignment Type: Travel nursing job Unit: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (LDRP) Facility Size: 130 licensed beds, 29-bed LDRP unit Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Assignment Duration: 9 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/3/2025) Scrub Color: Navy Blue or hospital-issued Free Parking Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (LDRP) experience BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certifications required NCC-EFM or RNC-OB certification preferred Proficient in all aspects of LDRP patient care, including circulating C-sections, newborn care (heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring), and lactation support Willingness to float within the Charlotte region as needed First-time travel nurses not accepted Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a busy LDRP unit Monitor and manage high-risk obstetric diagnoses, including postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), diabetes requiring insulin, PROM, and placenta previa Assist with GYN surgical cases, such as hysterectomies Circulate for C-sections and provide immediate newborn care Perform newborn assessments: heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring, and lactation support Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including OB Techs, CNAs, charge nurses, case managers, physicians, and lactation consultants Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and GE Corometrics fetal monitors Float to other facilities within the Charlotte area as required, within scope of practice Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this rewarding Labor & Delivery RN job in Charlotte, North Carolina Benefits 401K with Matching, Healthcare, Dental and Vision About GHR With over 30 years of healthcare staffing experience, GHR Healthcare is your trusted partner in finding the perfect contract or permanent role in the healthcare industry.
