Job DescriptionCTR Group is seeking Outside Machinists with Active Secret Clearance for a Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA.SKILLS:Outside Machinist, Machinery Repair & Maintenance, Inspecting, Troubleshooting, Machinery Overhaul, Drawings & Blueprints, Submarine Experience, Precision Tools, Measurement Instruments, Calibration, Alignment, DoD Clearance.Maintenance and repair of machinery. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing necessary repairs to ensure the efficient operation of equipment.Key Responsibilities:Inspect machinery to identify defects and malfunctionsPerform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on various types of machinery, including but not limited to engines, pumps, and propulsion systemsUtilize precision tools and instruments for measurement, calibration, and alignmentRead and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsCollaborate with team members to optimize machinery performanceAdhere to safety protocols and regulations at all timesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentCompleted apprenticeship program or relevant technical trainingProven experience as an Outside Machinist in an industrial settingMust have submarine experience. Share relevant experience in VLS, Weapons Systems, Fairwater Planes, and Sail.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skillsPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry heavy objectsStamina and physical strength for prolonged periods of standing and manual laborFlexibility to work in various environmental conditionsIf you are a skilled Outside Machinist with submarine experience in VLS, Weapons Systems, Fairwater Planes, orSail, we encourage you to apply.
