Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented

Lead Network Engineer

to join our team In this role you will get to

support our global biometrics solutions for federal partners to enhance national security. What You'll Be Doing: Travel with a site survey team to evaluate network infrastructure and determine what will be needed to install a suite of our biometrics tools. Design network to integrate with existing infrastructure to ensure data exchange of collected biometrics can be vetted against connected databases. Supervise the the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for complete delivery and maintenance of existing biometric collection points. Work with the program management team to properly identify and prioritize features for future site installs. Work with the full network management team on integration issues and ways to maximize system performance, including diagnostics and resolution. Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements to ensure long-term viability while minimizing costs. Implement preventative maintenance measures to help the team minimize outages. Supervise tier 1, 2, and 3 help desks and oversee the reporting mechanism to reduce communication lag of potential network issues. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience supporting federal government customers as a network engineer. Experience with OCONUS network integration. Knowledgeable on telecommunications, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and infrastructure technologies such IEEE, EIA/TIA, SATCOM, coax, copper, and fiber. Maintain understanding of WAN, LAN, and Campus technologies plus be familiar with routing protocols to include; BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and IP/MPLS. Willing to travel 20-40% and ability to conduct site surveys, develop design packages, deliver cost estimates, and coordinate with vendors.
