Description
The beautiful and historic Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of Banquet Server at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills, with a strong proficiency in multi-tasking while demonstrating exceptional hospitality and guest service.
What are some of the things you will be doing?
•Prepare all dressings and cold sauces.
•Always ensure quality guest service and comfort by monitoring the area continuously.
•Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.
•Serve all items utilizing appropriate China, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
•Assist servers and set up housepersons if needed.
•Immediately relay all guest complaints and compliments to management.
•Maintain health and sanitation standards.
•Maintain safe serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.
•Assist in setting tables with linen and basic silver and glass maintaining a high standard of presentation.
•Assist in breaking down events and cleaning rooms after functions.
Requirements
•Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
•Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
•Hearing, writing, typing.
•Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
•Other duties may be assigned.
•Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
•Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
•High school education and relevant training and experience preferred.
•CPR training and first aid training are preferred.
•Additional language ability preferred.
•Must be able to obtain or currently hold required Food and Beverage Certifications.
