About New Hampshire Job Corps Center

The New Hampshire Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

As a Recreation Advisor, you'll be at the heart of building a sense of community, well-being, and personal development among our students. Through innovative and inclusive recreational programs, you'll contribute to creating an environment where our students thrive both academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

Program Development:Design, implement, and oversee a diverse range of recreational programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our student population.

Community Building:Foster a sense of camaraderie and belonging through team-building activities, group events, and recreational outings.

Wellness Promotion:Promote physical and mental well-being through health and fitness initiatives, encouraging a healthy lifestyle among students.

Student Engagement:Actively engage with students to understand their interests and preferences, ensuring that recreational activities resonate with their needs and aspirations.

Collaboration:Work closely with other departments to integrate recreation into the overall student experience, contributing to a holistic approach to education and personal development.

Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.

+ Associates of Arts Degree or 1-year related experience working with youth.

+ Must possess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet Company insurability requirements.

+ CDL preferred.

Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
