Overview:

BerryDunn is seeking a Tax Processing Specialist to join our Assurance, Tax & Advisory Support Services Team. You will be responsible for support within the tax group aiding our service teams across a wide range of industries. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills both with internal and external customers while maintaining an aptitude for technical growth. The Tax Processing Specialist should also have the ability to prioritize / reprioritize daily work while working independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines. This in office position will be based out of our Bangor, ME office. You will report to the Tax Operations Manager.

You Will:
  • Print and assemble tax returns, route, and deliver completed returns to proper principals and managers for review and/or signature; this includes various types of tax returns such as corporate, partnership, individual, trusts, estates, and exempt organizations.
  • Handle delivery of returns to client - assemble tax package to send.
  • Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, and management regarding various tax matters.
  • Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by working as a team member; understanding individual and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback.

  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to understand and meet deadlines, including following up with stakeholders, as necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with CCH Axcess Platform (Tax, Document, and Workflow) helpful, but not required.


Compensation Details:

The base salary range targeted for this role is $24.00 - $28.00 an hour. This salary range represents BerryDunns good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
