Pay Range: $30/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
May require a bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
May report to an executive or a manager.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
Required Keywords: (BUYER or buying OR PURCHASE OR PURCHASING or buying or subcontractor or procurement or supplier or SCHEDULING OR PLANNING or negotiation or contracts or "supply chain" or SCM) AND (Electronics or mechanical or aero or aeronautics or spacecraft or Airforce or aerospace or aviation or astronautical or Avionics or defence or Garmin or Boeing or aircraft or FAA or FDA).
5+ years Buyer experience.
Buying experience in Electronics and Mechanical.
Defense or Space Buying experience a BIG PLUS.
Strong SAP background.
MUST own the Purchase Req to PO process - this is the majority of the work (about 75%).
High dollar, complex PO work experience - several years of experience with documenting purchase order details in various regulatory environments (FDA, FAA, DoD, etc.).
Team player, able to work cross-functionally with technical teams to document reasons behind making purchases.
Not looking for someone who has not purchased for many years (more than 5-7 years since last purchasing role).
Someone with poor behaviors or expects to work on their own.
