Medix is hirining for a Patient Financial Counselor opportunity located in Morristown, NJ

Responsibilities:

Evaluate bank statements and tax returns Investigate the story behind what is taking place in a bank statement. Determine why money is being transferred from account to account. Counselor patients about their financial position and how it relates to their health. Screen customers to determine eligibility for Charity Care and process the applications for those programs. Create and provide estimates. Request and collect up front payments. Perform general office tasks.

Skills/Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish)

HIGHLY

preferred. At least 6 months of recent healthcare experience Detail oriented. Aptitude for working with numbers. Analytical skills Investigative skills Someone from the banking industry would work Financial counselor background is very applicable (this is essentially the role, just for Charity Care specifically) Computer skils
