Summary About the Position: This position is with the 63rd Readiness Division, Equipment Concentration Site (ECS) 170 located at Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. Responsibilities Develop performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinate managers/supervisors. Inform higher headquarters on maintenance plans, support concerns, facilities, technical problems, budgeting and special projects. Direct mission execution, long range planning, organizational structure, goals and objectives. Coordinate work to be accomplished and establish priorities. Represent the command at seminars, pre-camp conferences, and meetings pertaining to the Equipment Concentration Site (ECS) support operation. Analyze operations to identity areas in need of improvement. Resolve employee complaints and group grievances. Develop plans, policies, programs and procedures to achieve maximum efficiency of operations. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing storage, maintenance, supply and quality assurance; making determinations regarding equipment use, compatibility and condition; developing plans, policies, programs and procedures for shop operations; and supervising daily activities of a full time staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Oral Communication Organizational Performance Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. One-year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
