Job Description: Senior Tax Associate (3+ Yrs Exp.) RML & Associates CPAs is a locally owned accounting firm in downtown Laramie, WY with over 60 years of experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping services. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will prepare tax returns for personal, business, and non-profit clients. RML offers competitive compensation and great benefits with career advising and advancement opportunities. Responsibilities: Prepare individual and entity tax returns with minimal supervision Receive and assimilate feedback to improve tax knowledge and skills Share knowledge and skills with interns and associates to improve team knowledge Communicate directly with clients as appropriate Demonstrate good business judgment and professionalism in speech, dress and demeanor Maintain a positive attitude, good communication and working relationship with all staff Assist with other duties as requested by tax manager or partner Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field required, or equivalent experience Current CPA or EA holder or working towards certification 3+ years of tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting preferred Previous experience with Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite or Quickbooks Ability to independently manage your workload and communicate regarding deadlines Professional communication with tax staff and clients RML & Associates CPAs offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefit package: Friendly and supportive work environment Hybrid schedule and/or remote work opportunities available Personalized career advising and quarterly check-ins Cost reimbursement program for CPA certification and CPE continuing education Medical, dental and vision coverage within 30 days of employment Simple IRA with employer match within 30 days of employment Paid time off and paid holidays Annual bonus opportunities Salary DOE – Starting $65,000 All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
