Digital Product Manager

Intro:
The Advisor Services Team is a premier provider of custodial, operational, and trading support for independent fee-based investment advisors. Our client is seeking a Digital Product Manager for the AdvisorCenter platform's digital transfers and payments team. This team oversees the user interface for processing digital payments on the Advisor platform. The team is redesigning much of the application and adding many new features addressing unmet advisor needs and improving operational efficiency for the client. This role will be responsible for leading tech-enablement initiatives, application support efforts to bolster platform health as well as building feature enhancements to meet advisor needs.

Job Details:
  • As a Digital Product Manager, you will manage daily scrum activities and craft user stories in JIRA.
  • Leading tech-enablement initiatives to enhance Schwab Advisor platform performance and security will be central to your responsibilities.
  • You'll prioritize impactful work for the engineering team, ensuring product launches stay on course.
  • Create a release plan in coordination with the scrum team and other lines of business.
  • Additionally, you'll analyze platform support issues, manage risks, and develop swift communication/remediation plans.
  • Understand and research platform flows and collaborate with QA to address testing requests from other partner teams. Document complex business requirements and test plans in Confluence.
  • Build PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings or lay out plans and ideas for stakeholder input and review; persuasive presentation skills.

Mandatory Skills:
  • The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience in product management or engineering. Open to someone coming from tech/engineering background with limited product management experience.
  • Proficiency in Agile Scrum framework, including backlog management and facilitating scrum activities, is a must.
  • Must have prior work experience with Jira.
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage the engineering team's workload effectively are vital.

  • Candidates with robust analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and problem-solving are preferred.

Duration:
6-month contract opportunity with possible extensions/ conversion.

Start Date:
The anticipated start date for this role is 6/24/2024.

Location:
While this is a remote position, candidates ideally should be based around Austin, TX, Fort Worth, TX, or Denver, CO just in case the role were to convert full-time.
