Yale Mechanical, a premier Twin Cities HVAC Service, Mechanical Design-Build Contractor that includes Plumbing, Dock and Doors, and Millwright services of 85 plus years is looking for an experienced Warehouse and Purchasing Manager. We are looking for someone excited to grow with us. Job Summary: The Warehouse and Purchasing Manager is responsible for the overall management of our busy warehouse operations. This includes fleet management, commodity purchasing, inventory control, warehouse shipping and receiving, tool purchasing, and scheduling transportation of materials and equipment. Some things you and your team will perform: • Coordinate with project managers and job superintendents the staging, loading and transportation of tools and equipment to job locations. • Develop and implement processes to manage the planning, ordering, and tracking of materials, rental tools, and equipment as well as Company owned tools. • Negotiate pricing levels with distributors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing. • Reviews project status reports and participate in project status meetings. • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and rental equipment. • Oversee vehicle fleet maintenance and repair. • Train, develop, and lead purchasing, warehouse and trucking personnel on policies and procedures for purchasing, inventory and deliveries. • Support safety program policies & procedures. • Contributes to establishing and managing department budget. Qualifications you will have: • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management, purchasing and logistics in the construction or a related field. • Knowledge of construction methods, procedures, materials, and tools. • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs and construction-related software. • Effectively communicates with other employees, and project participants. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
