The financial analyst plays a critical role in driving profitability for the organization. The analyst engages with stakeholders to create and manage delivery of analysis, reporting and data solutions throughout the organization. He / She develops analyses driven by both data and industry/company insights and presents a rich set of alternatives for decisions. The analyst will develop budgets, forecasts and reporting required to review progress towards targets. The analyst has strong understanding of ERP and will support the development of various business reports.

Job Duties (Specific tasks, assignments, or functions performed)

1. Analyze current and historical trends in KPIs; Establish new and updated KPIs as needed; Monitor performance indicators and provide insightful feedback and recommendations

2. Participate in the continual development and improvement of the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling process; create and maintain reporting, dashboards, and scorecards to monitor performance indicators; develop new financial models to support strategic initiatives

3. Continually monitor the changing environment and financial indicators to provide data-supported recommendations and feedback for management decision making

4. Support leadership and department heads with in-depth analysis, providing ad hoc reporting as needed

5. Assist in preparation of Monthly Business Reviews and Quarterly Division Reviews

6. Maintain the Margin Calculator model and provide pricing analysis and recommendations for projects and promotions

7. Develop and maintain New Product ROI models to support the launch of new products as well as evaluate existing product lines

8. Work with internal customers to understand their business needs, goals and objectives

9. Perform variance and trend analyses while highlighting risks and opportunities

10. Create customized fields and reports with NetSuite to drive business growth and understanding

11. Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance

12. Work closely with the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to determine priorities and support in various areas of Finance and Strategic Planning

13. Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed in the finance field

Job Requirements (Knowledge and skills required to perform the job)

1. Well organized and able to assemble data into a logical and presentable format

2. Must be able to quickly gather and analyze facts, work with customers to set up reporting and solutions, and follow through to completion

3. Must be well spoken and possess the ability to deliver a message to managers and coworkers in a clear and straight forward fashion

4. Superior PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word and Excel)

5. Experience with ERP/automated accounting systems (e.g. NetSuite, Oracle, SAP)

6. Well informed in financial subjects, accounting, technology solutions and business environments

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience:

3+ years of experience as a financial analyst (or related position)
