Bartender

PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Provide quality, value-added professional service in the lounge department to exceed facility standards for beverage service, guest helpfulness, and guest friendliness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Serve guests promptly and according to service standards, whether at bar or at tables.
Prepare cocktails to standard
Monitor alcohol consumption of all guests and cease service when guests are inebriated
Do all necessary set up side work, as per side work schedule
Be knowledgeable of daily specials and all menu items, and answer guest questions concisely
Sell food and beverages to guests through suggestion
Be alert to guest needs by staying on station as much as possible.
Operate the franchise reservation system, and correctly collect payment from guests
Bus tables and practice clean as you go policy throughout the shift
Deliver room services whenever needed

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. 6 months customer service and server experience. Must be 21 years of age.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction division and multiplication.

REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgments regarding beverage service processes.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
BASSET Beverage Alcohol Seller and Server certificate preferred.
Food Handlers Certificate

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds. Required to walk, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach. Requires ability to reach, grasp and feel.

HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demand, hours may be reduced at any time.
