Overview:

Summary Statement:

This Sales Manager will be responsible for contracting Group and Convention programs across the entire campus at Resorts World Las Vegas. This position will be expected to cultivate new relationships and expand on existing property relationships with customers. This role will be results and revenue driven.

Job Duties:

Primary Job Duties -Includes, but is not limited to:

  • Solicit and book Group and Convention room and space blocks.
  • Meet and exceed revenue quotas and goals set by Leadership.
  • Effectively qualify leads that result in closing contracts through negotiation skills that align with the organizations financial objectives and drive customer relationships.
  • Proactively solicit new customers through prospecting skills to drive incremental revenues.
  • Hosts prospective clients visiting the hotel, to include customer such as entertainment such as dining in hotel, restaurants and overall entertaining.
  • Respond timely to leads and provide customers with accurate timelines for next steps.
  • Understand contract clauses and be able to negotiate proper business terms to drive property revenues.
  • Continue to understand market trends, segment trends, and competitors to be able to sell against them.
  • Develop strategies to maximize occupancy and average rate during low seasonal periods.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation and account analysis on a monthly basis while tracking top producing agencies.
  • Accurately forecast and report on pipeline of business.
  • Effectively manage time within defined role, internal processes, and departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and other departments outside of Sales to support customer needs and drive positive results from groups.
  • Document all daily sales activities, catalog account and customer information accurately, and communicate effectively with Leadership on progress of each program.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least five years of Hotel Sales, luxury sales, or convention and catering sales experience.
  • At least three years of leadership/management experience in a similar or related field.
  • Ability to successfully mentor and lead a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Delphi and Opera.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
