Job Summary:

The Government Services Clerk will coordinate GSA shipments from origin to destination and run and analyze reports to ensure data accuracy

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Accept and register shipments from the Department of State
  • Communicate with shippers to obtain appropriate documentation
  • Work with agents to coordinate shipment pickup and delivery
  • Update company software program with shipment information to ensure accurate information
  • Customer service functions including coordinating delivery of shipment and rectify customer complaints and issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of company software
  • Organization skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of logistics procedures
  • Good math skills

Required Education and Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Required: Previous data entry experience required

Working Conditions:

  • Strictly office environment
  • 90-95% sitting down
  • Computer use is prevalent, along with telephone
  • Working hours Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
