INTERIM CONTROLLER

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

  • Our client recently acquired a software company in Perryopolis, expanding their reach & capabilities in the technology sector.
  • They are dedicated to innovation, quality, and excellence in all aspects of their operations.
  • As they continue to evolve and expand, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Interim Controller to join the team and ensure the seamless integration of the newly acquired entity into their financial systems and processes.

OVERVIEW OF THE INTERIM CONTROLLER ROLE:

  • Conduct a comprehensive review and analysis of the acquired software company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial systems and processes, identifying and implementing improvements as needed.
  • The Interim Controller oversees day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Interim Controller provides leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior management, offering insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making and drive business growth.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR INTERIM CONTROLLER ROLE:

  • The Interim Controller must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA PLUS.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
