Description:

Position Purpose:

The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe health care environment by daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, departments, and other assigned areas.

What you will do:
  • Perform required cleaning and housekeeper functions in assigned area.
  • Execute proper cleaning procedures and demonstrates efficient, cost effective and safe use of housekeeping equipment.
  • Perform other special housekeeping and Environmental Services assignments in a team environment.
  • Distribute clean linen to all departments following established par levels.
  • Collect soiled linen from all departments.
Physical Demands:
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or (GED) preferred; or one to three months' related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
