Job Summary

The DevOps group is responsible for leading the automation of all aspects of the software delivery pipeline, using the latest and most innovative technologies for on demand environment provisioning, CI/CD pipeline enablement, and software delivery. Reporting to the Manager of the DevOps group, the Senior DevOps Engineer works with other DevOps engineers, software developers and infrastructure engineers to assist in automating environment creation and building CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities encompass a blend of architecture, automation and development.

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to DevOps team members as well as other ET teams.
  • Build automation using Terraform, Powershell and other scripting languages
  • Build CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
  • Partner with App Dev, QA and other Technology teams to automate manual processes
  • Cultivate and operationalize a DevOps discipline within the organization
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, out-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
  • Facilitate the delivery of software that scales in a zero-downtime environment
Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience
  • 4+ years software development experience
  • 4+ years automation experience using code-as-infrastructure products (Terraform preferred)
  • 4+ years experience with cloud based services (Azure experience preferred)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with cultural transformation to CI/CD and DevOps
  • Experience with Containers and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or other SDLC tools, Terraform and Powershell
  • Experience in a start-up, fast-growth, rapid-change environment
  • Must be self-motivated, dedicated to quality and must always strive to "do the right thing"
