Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer We're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to projects focused on municipal water and wastewater treatment plants. Responsibilities: Produce contract documents, including plans and specifications. Conduct load and voltage drop calculations. Lead short circuit, protective device, and coordination studies. Develop One-Line diagrams and Control schematics. Coordinate electrical design with utilities, project team, and clients. Mentor and train staff-level electrical engineers. Prepare technical memoranda and reports. Enforce company and client standards on projects. Manage electrical portion of medium to large projects for water and wastewater treatment facilities. Conduct quality management reviews of electrical design. Participate in continuing editing and development of electrical master specifications. Delegate tasks and follow up on completion and quality. Identify and consult on solutions to complex tasks. Participate in client contacts and business development efforts. Make timely and implementable decisions. Monitor scope, schedule, and budget. Ensure compliance with technical standards. Travel as required for project needs. Conduct site visits during construction and operation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. 10 years of experience in industrial power and control systems design. Professional Engineer registration. Registered with the NCEES. Extensive experience in low voltage power distribution, industrial controls, and lighting systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities. Proficiency in point-to-point conduit and wire systems design. Expertise in lighting calculations, receptacle designs, and conduit routing. Knowledge of NFPA standards and National Electrical Code. Familiarity with fault current calculations and machine theory. Experience with hazardous area design and fire protection systems. Proficiency in SKM, ETAP, or ESDA. Ability to work effectively in multi-discipline project teams. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in MS Word, Access, and Excel.
