Position Description:

The Lead Engineer is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems within a property.

Position Duties: • Duties include but not limited to the maintenance, repair, and operations of Lighting, Plumbing & HVACR equipment. • Other systems include chilled water systems, boilers, Fire Life Safety devices and all MEP systems • The Engineer must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned • Responsible to assist in implementation and completion of preventive maintenance and repairs • Responds to tenant requests and work orders in a timely fashion • Assists with the implementation and team’s adherence to work and safety procedures • Perform equipment inspections, repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance tasks • Assist in the implementation of quality assurance, PM & emergency response programs • Obtain quotes for approvals, order and manage parts, inventory, equipment • Ensures that all shop equipment, tools, and inventory are properly maintained and conform to safety standards. • Promotes good housekeeping principles and supervises cleanup and organization efforts. • Conduct Routine Generator, Fire Pump and other systems weekly tests, checks, logs, and PM tasks. • Coordinates work with team, other departments, and Chief Engineer to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications: •HVAC & Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing experience • Ability to work M-F (10am to 6pm) • Flexibility for On-Call, weekend, or overnight work as necessary • Universal level refrigerant recovery license • Strong computer skills and building automation systems experience • Strong oral and written communication skills • High rise building maintenance experience • Strong employee relations, coaching and training skills •Excellent customer service skills • Excellent customer service skills
