Recognizing the significance of preserving each patient's autonomy, the center prioritizes safety while fostering an atmosphere that respects patients' rights and dignity. The overarching objective of the Kathi & Bob Postlethwait Mental Health Recovery Center is to facilitate the return of patients to their homes and communities at the earliest suitable juncture. Outpatient case managers collaborate with patients to navigate this transition, ensuring a seamless continuity of care and support post-discharge. Where You Fit In & What to Expect The Clinician plays a crucial role in the development and oversight of processes to ensure the effective review and updating of treatment plans at intervals specified by guidelines. This role also focuses on maintaining high standards of documentation. The Clinician plays a pivotal role in delivering individual and group therapeutic interventions grounded in evidence-based practices. This position is responsible for managing a diverse caseload of clients, identifying therapeutic, rehabilitative, and case management needs, and collaborating with team members to address these needs effectively. Am I Qualified? Master’s degree in behavioral health or human services from an accredited college or university. At least a temporary associate level of one of the following licensures: MHC (Mental Health Counselor) LSW (Licensed Social Worker) MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist) Possesses a valid Indiana Driver's License and meets Eskenazi Health driving requirements. What We Offer: Essential Functions and Responsibilities Embraces, understands, and operates under the Recovery Model, including AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) and the spirit of motivational interviewing (MI), and follows the levels of accountability. Completes biopsychosocial evaluation (BPSE), integrating information gathered by the team and developing the integrated diagnostic summary; based upon the BPSE and in consultation with the treatment team, prepares Clinical Treatment plans, dates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines, and consults with client, family, and treatment team throughout the process. Manages a caseload of clients identifying therapeutic, rehabilitative, and case management needs; engages other team members in meeting these needs as indicated. Performs a variety of individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions (as demonstrated competency allows) utilizing evidence-based practices. Provides quality case management services as indicated by client need. Monitors client progress and reflects this in the clinical documentation. Evaluates and updates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines, consulting with client, family, and team in this process. Completes documentation of activities and written reports in an accurate and timely manner. Identifies community resources and assists clients in their access to these resources. Provides indirect service to external agencies and community through consultation and education. Interprets and applies service and billing procedures according to client needs; completes billing according to guidelines for timeliness and accuracy. Alters activities and behaviors to reflect and ensure adequate care which is appropriate to the age of the clients served. Advocates for clients to ensure access to needed services which include developing community relationships and resources. Meets agency standards of timely completion of all documentation. Meets agency standards of client service hours. Demonstrates commitment to professional growth by actively participating in clinical supervision. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge: Knowledge of best standards for age-appropriate care. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Training in the use and side effects of psychotropic medications. Skills: Advanced critical thinking regarding assessment, crisis intervention, within a strength-based framework. Strong interpersonal skills/ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written communication. Practice in mental health and addictions treatment. Experience in providing risk assessments. Abilities: Ability to gather, interpret, and analyze client data. Ability to receive feedback.
