Job Description
The Surgical Technologist provides intra-operative care to patients in the surgical/operating room environment, collaborating with anesthesia, surgeons, and other staff members. Under the supervision of the OR RN, Supervisor/Manager/Director, the Surgical Technologist:

• Integrates physiological, medical, surgical, and anesthetic information to deliver appropriate patient care.

• Utilizes aseptic principles to assist the surgeon in maintaining a sterile field, ensuring optimal patient care in the OR.

• Functions effectively in the sterile environment, demonstrating knowledge and ability in performing the role of first scrub on assigned surgical cases.

• Provides care for surgical patients of all ages and acuity levels.
Requirements
Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Completion of an approved surgical technologist program required.
Experience: Previous experience preferred.
Certifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
