Responsibilities:

CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated builds, testing, and deployment of Java applications across development, staging, and production environments. System and Library Updates: Stay current with system updates, security patches, and library versions, and coordinate their implementation across all environments. Develop and execute upgrade plans in collaboration with developers and IT teams Bash Scripting and Linux Expertise: Develop and maintain bash scripts for automation of routine tasks, deployment processes, and system configurations. Leverage scripting to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements, provide infrastructure support, and troubleshoot issues. Collaborate with IT teams to align infrastructure changes with organizational policies and standards Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance, detect anomalies, and proactively identify and resolve issues. Configure alerting mechanisms to notify relevant stakeholders of critical events Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices for infrastructure and application components, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Share knowledge and expertise with team members through documentation, training sessions, and collaborative discussions

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of experience in a Software DevOps environment 3+ years of experience with Java and JavaScript development and troubleshooting Hands-on experience with Jenkins or similar for CI/CD pipeline automation Proficiency in bash scripting for automation tasks Solid understanding of Linux beyond normal end-user, including command-line operations and shell scripting Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Preferred:

Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Jenkins Certified Engineer) Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible Knowledge of networking concepts and security principles Previous experience in a similar role with a focus on Java application infrastructure
