THE JOB:

As a Mutual Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to guests by processing race and sports wagers efficiently and accurately. Your responsibilities include verifying and making payments on winning tickets, managing cash transactions, and ensuring compliance with gaming regulations. You will also assist guests with understanding betting rules and odds, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and promptly addressing any guest concerns or suspicious activities.

THE PAY RATE: $17.00 per hour +tips

THE SCHEDULE: On-Call

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Payment Processing & Verification: Write, verify, and process payments on race and sports wagers according to department policies, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations.
  • Cash Handling & Bank Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile a cash bank for each shift, handling payments and making accurate changes as needed.
  • Customer Interaction & Support: Explain wagering rules, betting lines, and odds to guests, and assist with player tracking card creation.
  • Station Maintenance: Stock and maintain the cashier's station, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies.
  • Issue Escalation & Security: Report guest issues or suspicious activities to management, ensuring customer reward protection and credit line adherence.
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent educational experience
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficient cash-handling and math skills
  • Experience in a similar resort environment
  • Experience working in a guest-facing customer service role
  • Ability to obtain a gaming license
  • Basic computer and reservation software skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
