We are seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to grow along with our company, and to be a part of the culture that puts its people firstWe are seeking a driven, motivated leader who knows that being the best means having vision and following through on that vision. We value forward thinking, progressive and creative personalities.The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for total room, banquet, catering, and room rental revenue streams, participate in development of yield strategies, accountable for market performance and meeting/exceeding budget, forecast, and optimal business mix targets. Additional responsibilities include hiring of staff, training, managing and coaching.The individual will also work closely with the General Manager, Regional and Corporate staff, ownership and discipline subject matter experts to ensure appropriate brand building and asset growth focusing on the following:Overall responsibility for total revenue and will collaborate on development and execution of yield strategiesAccountable to market performance and potential performance as well as achievement of budget, forecast, and target goalsHands on leadership of team - must demonstrate ability to lead a team and direct and hold accountable accordingly. Must have experience in the development of Business Travel, Group and Banquet/Catering segmentsActivity participates in community relationsCreates and implements a cohesive Hotel Business Plan with emphasis on revenue achievement via Direct Sales, PR, Revenue Management and Ecommerce strategies QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred.Hotel Sales and Marketing experience required 5+ years of sales leadership in similar sized operation preferred (resort, hotel, membership club) experience BS or BA.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi. Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills, as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.Extensive knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, recruitment, supervision, training, and motivation of managers.Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with internal and external customers and staff in all situations.Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel property and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.30% travel Compensation RangeThe compensation for this position is $150,000.00/Yr. - $165,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
