At **One Twenty Three Tavern**, we are looking for experienced **Bartenders** that love to create a fun and memorable experience for our guests both indoors and on our beautiful outdoor piazza. Our soul is that of a neighborhood restaurant. A place where picky eaters and meticulous foodies find common ground. Where friends grab a drink, then another drink, then a small plate or threeand forget what time it is. Where the atmosphere is as warm as the dish that just came out of the kitchen.

Our Bartenders play a key role at One Twenty Three, serving a variety of guests, whether meeting for happy hour, dining or stopping by for a drink and appetizer before the show. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Greet and engage with all guests in a friendly, positive manner

* Sets-up, maintains and operates the bar

* Maintains safe, secure and sanitary bar area and equipment

* Adheres to standardized recipes and department rules and procedures

* Prepares garnishes to ensure freshness and quality, set up mixers, and pre-mixed drinks

* Follows opening, closing and cleaning checklists on a daily basis

* Ensure all guests have proper ID, are over 21 years of age, and that drinks are not served to intoxicated patrons

* Mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to recipes

* Clean and close down the bar at the end of the night according to procedures

* Stock glasses, liquors, beers, and wines

* Other duties as assigned by management

**QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE**

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits and standard drink recipes required

* Minimum of 1 year of in a bartender position preferred

* Strong verbal communication and listening skills

* Self starter who is energetic and flexible

* Certifications for Food Safety and Alcohol training certificate preferred

* Able to work under pressure, multi-task, follow directions, and work with a team

* Can thrive in a fast-paced environment

* Friendly, outgoing, and a team player

* Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

* Ability to be on your feet and active for 8 or more hours, climb stairs, lift up to 40lbs, and use basic cleaning equipment
