Our client is a fast growing and innovative company in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, known for innovative products and commitment to excellence. They are dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for our consumers and maintaining a strong presence in the market. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Social Strategy to join our dynamic team and drive our social media initiatives to new heights.

Job Overview: The Director of Social Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our brand's vision and business goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of social media trends, digital marketing, and CPG industry dynamics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating and implementing successful social media campaigns that drive engagement, brand awareness, and sales.

What You'll Do:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate content creator with proven innovative brand based social media skills to lead the Social Media teams. This is a unique opportunity to launch and build a new premium home goods brand from the ground up with the support of a leading consumer products company.

Reporting to the The Senior Director of Communications, the Director of Social Media will be responsible for developing and overseeing innovative social media strategy and campaigns across all social channels to increase brand awareness and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategy Development:
    • Develop and execute a robust social media strategy that supports the company's overall marketing and business objectives.
    • Identify key social media trends and opportunities within the CPG industry to enhance brand positioning and consumer engagement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure social media efforts are integrated with marketing, PR, product launches, and other business initiatives.
  2. Content Creation and Management:
    • Oversee the creation, curation, and management of high-quality, engaging content across all social media platforms.
    • Ensure content aligns with brand voice, values, and marketing goals.
    • Develop a content calendar that includes key events, product launches, and promotional activities.
    • Oversee content development, distribution, and community management across all major social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Pinterest
    • Oversee and lead editorial calendar that incorporates overall social media strategy
  3. Campaign Management:
    • Plan and execute social media campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
    • Utilize data and analytics to measure campaign performance and optimize strategies in real-time.
    • Manage social media advertising budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  4. Community Engagement:
    • Foster a vibrant and engaged online community by responding to comments, messages, and interactions in a timely and authentic manner.
    • Identify and collaborate with influencers, brand advocates, and partners to amplify brand reach and credibility.
    • Promote campaigns that focus on sustainability efforts around social issues
  5. Analytics and Reporting:
    • Monitor social media performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
    • Analyze data to gain insights into consumer behavior, preferences, and trends.
    • Use insights to inform strategy adjustments and improve overall social media effectiveness.
  6. Team Leadership:
    • Lead the overall management and growth of brands social media platforms globally
    • Manage and lead Social Media in-house team
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
    • Ensure continuous learning and professional development within the team.
    • Work in collaboration with other team members and agency partners to ensure initiatives have 360-degree support and alignment across all channels

Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of experience in successfully managing/launching social media programs for new and legacy brands. In-house Consumer Product Industry experience required
  • Proven background in strategic planning within social and digital space and developing successful campaigns that have gained and maintained organic (versus paid for Followers) growth with proven sales results
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
