Overview

Audits production reports from supervisors, machine operators and bakery on a daily basis to ensure accuracy in case counts, waste, downtime and any other areas as necessary. Performs daily inventories as required

Responsibilities

• Assists the plant controller in tabulation of all month-end reporting categories.
• Conducts plant GMP inspections and reports findings.
• Performs inventories as required by management.
• Assists plant controller in analysis of raw and packing material variances.
• Closes production schedules in Prism.
• Monitors and orders flour as needed.
• Backs up the Plant Scheduler.
• Performs other duties as required or directed by the Plant Manager and or Plant Controller
• Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
• Participates in activities related to Marzetti Operational Excellence.

Qualifications

1-2 years administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
•High school graduate or equivalent.
•Proficient in MS Office software, particularly Word and Excel.
•Organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
•Accurate, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.

Working Conditions/Environment

Works primarily in an office environment, with 25% or less time in a manufacturing environment, where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Requires some lifting of moderately heavy items such as file boxes. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee may periodically be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment. The noise level in the office is moderate and loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
