Memorial Community Hospital and Health System (MCH), located in Blair, NE, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a PRN/Casual status. This position offers an opportunity to make a difference by providing high-quality, patient-focused care in a fast-paced environment. As an Emergency RN, you will coordinate, delegate, and deliver patient care while working collaboratively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and patients/families. You will utilize critical thinking skills, implement nursing processes, and adhere to professional nursing standards as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act.

Job Summary:
- Shift Details: PRN position.
- Evaluate patients at triage and assess actual or potential health issues.
- Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed regimens via various routes (e.g., IV, IM, oral).
- Provide age-appropriate care for patients ranging from neonates to the elderly.
- Communicate effectively with providers and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families about care plans and health management.
- Participate in problem-solving, performance improvement initiatives, and patient satisfaction projects.
- Ensure compliance with EMTALA requirements and hospital safety standards.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Current RN license in Nebraska or Iowa.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- PALS certification (required within 60 days of hire).
- TNCC certification (or ATCN in lieu) required within one year of hire.
- Experience: Minimum of one year in an acute care setting; emergency room experience strongly preferred.
- Skills:
- Critical thinking and ability to manage urgent/emergent care.
- Proficiency in hemodynamics, cardiac monitoring, phlebotomy, and IV/central line skills.
- Expertise in managing life-sustaining functions in unstable patients.
