The Vice president of Finance will be responsible for directing and managing company fiscal priorities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and current accounting/finance trends and regulations, respectively. This position will also be an active member of the senior leadership team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely and accurate budget analysis and financial review for management team.
  • Recommends and develops policies, procedures, and systems to meet company objectives.
  • Provides strategic financial leadership and support on issues affecting the business.
  • Recommends and leads new efforts to improve ROE/ROA performance.
  • Manages global cash management activities, including availability by region, bank compliance, and developing/maintaining relationships.
  • Leads bank financing initiatives to support company business requirements.
  • Oversees regional and global tax strategies and compliance.
  • Builds, develops, and manages finance team capable of carrying out needed initiatives.
  • Stays abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the finance function.
  • Aligns financial policies and procedures with company objectives.
  • Establishes financial reporting systems and controls to ensure compliance with company expenditure requirements and to meet customer needs.
  • Provide direction and oversight for the management all aspects of the traditional accounting and financial management functions and practices while ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the company's financial results and reporting including appropriate internal controls, accounting policy, and financial reporting activities.
  • Direct and oversee robust financial planning and analysis activity, including monthly and annual planning and forecasting process.
  • Support the development of people development, bench strength depth, and readiness for all reporting functional areas within scope of responsibility.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field.
  • CPA required.
  • MBA in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • Year of Experience: 10+ years of progressively responsible Finance positions in an automotive industry company; 5+ years in finance and accounting management (i.e., controller, assistant controller, finance/accounting manager).
  • Proficient with multi-entity structures, including international subsidiaries.
  • Ability to travel.

  • Breadth and depth of knowledge in the fundamentals of budgeting, analysis, compliance, risk management and other accounting principles.
  • Metrics-driven financial planning and analysis skills;
  • Ability to drive the development of KPIs and a process which meaningfully impacts the results and direction of the business.
  • Strong management capability and team player.
  • Ability to develop high performing teams and talent to continue to raise the quality of the financial activities in the company and to attract top talent to scale the business.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Broad knowledge of technology and innovations in the finance industry and associated risks and benefits.
  • Ability to use internal and external data analytics to make business decisions.
  • Knowledge of business drivers and underlying non-financial information that drive the company's financials and value creation based on variables such as intellectual property and intangible assets.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and put a strong emphasis on responsibility and accountability.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software.
