Senior CO2 Engineer/Project Manager

In this role, you will be a part of the

Engineering

team, of the

Energy Services Sector , based in

Houston

office, and responsible for managing the development and execution of a broad range of CO2 pipeline (supercritical flow) and facility projects, including but not limited to high pressure transmission pipelines, compression, treating, processing and sequestration. EXP is looking for a Leader in EHS, Engineering, Project Management, Compliance, Pipeline Operations and Safety.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Define and prepare job scopes and cost estimates for assigned projects

Interacts with various personnel, clients and state and/or federal agencies regarding assigned projects

Creates and maintains project specific documentation during and following completion of a project to ensure compliance with state or federal laws, corporate policies and procedures or other governing bodies

Leads the preparation and delivery of presentations that communicate project proposals, descriptions and status to senior management, state or federal agencies, and/or the public

Communicates the status of developmental activities to business sponsors

Develops and provides monthly project cash flow forecasts

Manages projects, ensuring safety, reliability, environmental and human impacts are mitigated while meeting project goals including, but not limited to schedule, budget, safety and overall quality

Analyzes, monitors and provides recommendations related to process improvement

May supervise the work of Intermediate and/or Junior Engineers

May be required to travel

What your experience looks like

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

PE license in Texas

Understanding of PHMSA advisory bulletins related to CO2 and possible new rule making to update standards for CO2 pipelines, including design parameters and requirements for emergency preparedness and response

Areas of expertise include: CO2 development projects, CO2 engineering/design, CO2 material selection, pipeline construction, corrosion management, regulatory and compliance, carbon sequestration, pipeline integrity, CO2 standards/guidelines/specification.

CO2, Crude, Natural Gas, Carbon Capture/Sequestration, and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)

SME for CO2 materials such as pipe, valves and fittings, and coating.

Preparation of engineering and construction standards, specifications, procedures, and O&M manuals for CO2 transportation.

High technical understanding for all aspects of engineering and corrosion/cathodic protection for CO2, crude and natural gas transportation

Experience in Regulatory and Compliance, environmental permitting, and interaction with federal agencies considered a plus
