JOB PURPOSE

Robins Kaplan LLP has an exciting opportunity available for a Director of Administration for the Boston office to function as a business partner, contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of goals and objectives for the office.

In this role, the Director of Administration will provide direction, guidance, and advice to managers, attorneys, and business professionals regarding the general business operations of the Firm and the office..

DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEYS TO SUCCESS

Cultivating a positive and respectful office culture and work environment, collaborating with senior leadership to develop, interpret, and monitor the practices, policies and procedures of the office, ensuring they align with the firm's goals, priorities and practices, assisting with space planning, collaborating with leadership of other offices and functional areas to develop and implement cross-office initiatives, attorney and business professional hiring and development, performance management, and managing and partnering with outsourced services to ensure consistent and excellent service offerings.

Robins Kaplan is seeking a confident and smart individual with highly-effective leadership skills, strong decision-making skills, the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the firm, ability to strengthen and develop teams to deliver high performance, impeccable oral and written communication skills, ability to establish credibility, trust and influence, demonstrate a strategic, analytical and forward-thinking mindset, and ability to proactively identify solutions.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's degree is required. At least five years of demonstrated experience in major functions of the position strongly preferred. Prior experience with commercial leasing, relocation and construction desirable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following during the work day:

  • Individual will interact regularly with others verbally, in-person, and via written communication
  • Operate computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, telephone, etc.
  • Ability to move/traverse about the office intermittently throughout the day (attend meetings, access file cabinets, obtain supplies from supply room, etc.)
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (working at a computer)
  • Repetitive movement (i.e. heavy computer/keyboard use)
  • May require occasional light lifting (files, copy paper, etc.)
