What Youll Do This Summer

  • The Research & Development Internship (Summer 2025) is a 10-12 week paid assignment.
  • The internship is designed to provide a student with real world experience to support professional development.
  • Students would have the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions, corporate meetings, networking events and/or community activities.
  • Internships will involve value added assignments with the opportunity to interact with various departments to acquire relevant skills.
  • Projects focus on supporting innovation, product testing and manufacturing.
  • Potential for internship to lead to full time employment after graduation

About the Research & Development Team

The Research & Development Team is diverse in knowledge and experience and are responsible for ensuring that Beech-Nuts products meet the highest standards for food safety and quality, right from new product formulation. This team takes pride in, and responsibility in partnering with our Strategic Sourcing, Operations and Quality Assurance Teams to ensure the ingredients sourced and processed have passed our testing standards and expectations. This is a hands-on, collaborative team that is energetic and passionate about making sure we continue to do what we do best - making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers

About the Work Environment

This position is located at the Amsterdam, New York LEED certified production facility. Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. The candidate will also be required to work in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.

What Youll Need

  • Must be registered as a current full-time student pursuing a bachelors degree in a related field.
  • Applicant must be authorized to work in the US for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Prefer at least 3rd year of study has been completed.
  • Must demonstrate a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Above average skills, especially in Excel.
