Schedule: PRN Shift : Varies Location: 210 Marie Langdon Drive, Manchester, KY 40962 The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Manchester · Surrounded by beautiful forests and wildlife · Known as “The Gateway To The Redbud Capital of Kentucky” · Enjoy 3,150 acres of off-roading trails · Home to the historical swinging bridges of Clay County · Rich Appalachian history and culture · Declared “Elk Capital of the East” · Over 600 miles of trails provided by the Daniel Boone National Forest The role you’ll contribute: · Collects blood specimens through venipuncture and skin puncture practices · Prepares blood samples for laboratory analysis · Sends specimens to reference laboratories for additional testing, as necessary · Registration of patients, interprets and orders physicians test requests · Identifies and bands patients for blood product transfusion · Ensures pre-authorization and completes appropriate consent forms prior to collection of limited coverage tests · Maintains proper documentation, including accessioning logs, equipment records, and checklists · Maintains adequate supply inventories and ensures supplies are viable prior to use for patient collection · Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: · High School Education or equivalent LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: · Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by facility This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
