The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses Siemens computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient's internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.**Summary of Essential Duties:**+ Accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions+ Administer contrast material+ Prepare and operate CT scan equipment+ Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images+ Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading+ Cleans and disinfects patient rooms+ Follow infection control and safety guidelines**Qualifications**Education:+ Graduate of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology program requiredLicense/Certifications:+ American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiologist certification (ARRT-R) required+ California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required+ American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within one year from start date+ Venipuncture certification requiredExperience:+ A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist preferred+ At least 6 months of experience with Siemens brand scanners preferredKeywords: Computed Tomography, Tech, Technician, Technologist, Imaging, Hospital, Medical Center, Healthcare, Los Angeles, CA, California**About Us**Cedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
