RECORDS SECRETARY

Job Description

The Records Secretary is responsible to the Regional Director for overall job performance and duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Answer telephone and cover the front office as assigned.
  2. Perform typing as assigned by the Regional Director.
  3. Conduct filing as required by the Regional Director.
  4. Assist in auditing outpatient and residential charts to ensure contract compliance. Report any non compliant issues or omissions and errors to the Regional Director.
  5. Assist Outpatient Counselors in outreach offices as scheduled by the Regional Director.
  6. Assist in the collection and reporting of Performance Improvement data on a monthly basis for the outpatient and residential programs.
  7. Ensure intake packets and forms are available and in stock for outpatient staff and SATOP programs.
  8. Assist with opening and closing all client charts.
  9. Perform all duties to adhere to policies and procedures.
  10. Complete other duties as may be assigned by the Regional Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED, completion of secretarial training or related work experience. Minimum of two years full-time secretarial or job related experience. Demonstrate skill levels in communication and office equipment. Experience with medical records desirable.
