Canada Building Materials (CBM)

is the ready-mix concrete division of VCNA operating in Ontario and Quebec. With the head office in Toronto, the company has more than 450 Ready-Mix trucks operating out of 40 plants. The plants are located from Hull, Quebec in the east, 475 miles to Windsor, Ontario in the west, with emphasis on the most heavily populated areas of the province. Ready-Mix Plant Managers

to support locations in

New Hamburg, Ontario and Cambridge, Ontario.

The ideal candidates are looking for a rewarding career in the concrete industry with long-term and internal growth potential. This position is ideal for new graduates or those seeking to enter into a supervisory role. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Supervise unionized hourly workforce and maintain a high level of employee morale at the plant. Support the labour relations process through maintaining the collective bargaining agreement and managing grievances and appropriate discipline. Manages and coordinates production, storage and general distribution in accordance with policies and procedures as established by the Operations Manager. Manages customer and internal relationships (sales, QC etc.). Completes paperwork and reporting as needed. Other duties as assigned. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Minimum of 2 years post-secondary school (college or university).

New graduates will be considered Experience in the concrete, construction or manufacturing industries is an asset, but not required. Previous supervisory experience is an asset. Skilled in communication, time management, organization, and decision making. Fundamental understanding of computers and essential software such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) Ability to work over time (paid) and flexible hours. Access to reliable transportation, as work locations are not accessible by public transit. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
