As a Meals Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for picking up nutritious meals from our designated pick-up zones and delivering them directly to the homes of our clients. But this is not just a driving job - it is a chance to add sunshine to someone's day with your warm personality and compassionate spirit.

Your role is crucial in allowing our senior clients to maintain their independence and dignity by staying in their own homes as they age. With each delivery, you will have the opportunity to share a friendly smile, lend a listening ear, and be a bright spot in someone's day during an often challenging phase of life.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Pick-up, transfer, and deliver frozen nutritious meals from designate pick-up zones
  • Follow routing instructions to make timely deliveries to client's homes
  • Treat each client with respect, kindness, and patience
  • Watch for changes in clients' conditions and report concerns to direct supervisor
  • Assist clients by carrying and/or putting away meals inside their homes when needed
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized delivery vehicle
  • Pick, deliver, and/or install emergency medical equipment (PERS) as needed

Work Environment
  • Pick up of supplies will be conducted at a designated drop off point
  • Pick up and delivery of supplies will be conducted in an assigned company vehicle
  • Supplies will be delivered to the homes of SSHC clients and/or an SSHC regional office
Schedule
  • Standard operating business hours are from 8am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday
  • Flexible hourly basis including days, nights, weekends, and split shifts.
  • Guaranteed to be scheduled a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Ability to work on a rotating weekend schedule at least 2 weekends per month

Requirements
  • Valid F endorsement driver's license from the state of TN and clean driving record
  • Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended period
  • Ability to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per day
  • Heavy Work category requires exertion of 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 10 to 20 lbs. of force continually to move objects.
  • Willing and able to complete a robust video training program provided by Senior Solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
  • Possesses a valid driver's license (required)
  • Possesses a valid second form of ID, such as a social security card
  • Must have reliable transportation with the ability to cover your branch office county.
  • Car insurance (required)
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing per company standards
  • Posses a smartphone
