Corporate Event Operations Manager

Windy City Fieldhouse is looking to hire an experienced, enthusiastic, customer focused and passionate corporate operations manager to join our events management team. This person must be capable of assisting in the management of multiple, concurrent events from the initial planning stages through execution. The successful candidate must possess exceptional attention to detail and strategic thinking coupled with high quality standards and superior service. The candidate must have the ability to develop cooperative and strong relationships with diversified clientele and assist in managing many different event types that range from Summer Picnics to Amazing Race Scavenger Hunts and other Team Building events. Exceptional attention to detail is a must for this job.Responsibilities"Owning" the delivery of several different event segments from the point the event is sold to final executionReviewing contracts, agreements and all paperwork related to the execution of an eventWork within a team to ensure company policies and procedures are being followed appropriately to ensure delivery of an exceptional event every timeCreating new event ideas and programsManaging many Corporate Events throughout the year Requirements Minimum 4-7 years business experience ideally in producing high quality corporate meetings and eventsHighly proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel)Consistent professional approach, with willingness to take ownership and responsibility both within and outside one's job domainHigh energy level and very positive attitudeAbility to present ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, well organized mannerStrong written and verbal communication skillsSuperior interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsTeam orientedProfessional work ethicExcellent time management skillsB.A./B.S. from accredited institution or equivalent in related disciplineBenefitsMedical/Dental insurance (with contribution)401(k) with 3% safe harbor employer contribution & profit sharingTwo weeks vacation or more based on experienceFree parkingOpen access to our sports facilityAdditionalHours: Must be willing to work 45 hours per week, on average, including some weeknight events and approximately 8-10 weekend days. During the peak season of June-September, hours are generally higher at roughly 45-50+ hours per week, while averaging 40-45 hours per week in the 8-month off season. Location: Chicago, IL
