The ESG Data Specialist will support the organization's rapidly evolving ESG data needs. The candidate will serve as the organization's primary lead in ESG data collection efforts, leading data-focused projects, and interfacing across various functions. The role is highly collaborative, working with our various teams to collect relevant ESG data, maintain data storage, assess database design, and gather, organize, and interpret relevant statistical information. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all aspects of the ESG data collection process including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring, expediting, summarizing, and communicating progress at regular intervals to ensure the organization meets its annual ESG reporting deadlines. Identify and address limitations of ESG data. Aggregate ESG data as necessary to support the organization's sustainability reporting. Understand our evolving ESG data needs, how our current data meets those needs; identify, evaluate, and recommend complementary data sets. Analyze existing ESG data sources and methodologies for accuracy. Contribute to the development of dashboards or Power BI to improve ESG process integration where applicable. Recommend and support the implementation of data solutions for evolving external reporting needs, including regulatory requirements. Ensure that data collection, analysis, and reporting projects are completed on time and within estimated costs. Develop and maintain associated documentation and communications. Gather, organize, and interpret statistical data from the database to provide reports to, and answer questions from, upper management. Perform other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required. At least three years in Data Processing, with at least two years of experience with database management systems required. Passion for sustainability issues and corporate responsibility. Experience in the nuances of specific ESG data sets, data structure, and quality of ESG ratings, scores, and other data sets is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. General experience utilizing business intelligence platforms and data visualization, such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Understanding of computer languages used within databases. Understanding of database design and construction.
