The software engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high quality software solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
Requirements
Major Responsibilities:
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
Follows the software development lifecycle.
Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Coordinates with IT department to coordinate Kaney software development tools by interacting with vendors, recommending purchases, testing, and approving products.
Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related discipline.
Ability to work collaboratively with other Engineers and Kaney team members
Experience in C, C++ and MATLAB programming
Experience qualifying aircraft software per DO-178
Exposure to aircraft systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Programming certifications/accreditations
Experience using MATLAB/Simulink Embedded Coder in order to implement control algorithms on TI and other DSP targets
Experience with Simulink graphical programing
Experience in SQL programming
Python programming experience
Experience with HBM Perception software
Experience in NI LabVIEW, LabWindows
Experience working with Speedgoat
Experience using lab equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes
Knowledge of circuit simulation tool, such as SPICE, Cadence, etc.
