to work as a member of the Product Engineering Team to develop software-based aerospace telemetry product solutions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop software design specifications based on requirements, or concept sketches.Perform technical planning, software design, implementation, verification, formal Acceptance and Production tests.Write and review design, release, and support documentation: development review documents, user and system administration manuals, interface control documents, test procedures, etc.Active coordination with other departments for system integration, hardware and software integration, testing, and productionProvide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.Support co-worker development efforts, and solicit assistance, when necessary or appropriateExecute tasking in accordance with quality management system (QMS) processes and procedures; providing recommendations for continuous improvement as the opportunity arises.Participate in relevant company and industry events.REQUIREMENTSTranscribe Ability to manage responsibilities independently and work remotelyCapable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervisionRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsExcellent listening skills as well as solid verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)Ability to demonstrate / present systems and software to clientsExcellent general programming, math, and analytical skillsTelemetry Software Engineer Desired Experience:Familiarity with relevant specifications within the Inter-Range Instrumentation Group (IRIG) Standard 106 (IRIG-106)Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous integration, build processes, testing, and operationsJourneyman level, or greater, knowledge of applicable software development technologies with 7 years of relevant telemetry industry experienceProficiency in C# and C++, background with C, along with solid object-oriented design skillsExperience with Scrum/Agile development methodologiesExperience and proficiency with toolsets listed belowFamiliarity with basic communication interfaces such as USB, RS232, EthernetFamiliarity with VHDL code development and FPGA design would be a plusFamiliarity with basic DSP functional blocks such as filtering and FFT would be a plusToolsets:MATLAB, MS Office, Subversion, Visual Studio, NUnitJob Type:Full-Time/RegularMinimum Level of Education:4-Year bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming; or equivalent information technology training in a military or civilian technical schoolThe ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with SCI DoD Clearance
