BASIC FUNCTION:

Responsible for the management of a designed loan portfolio typically consisting of large and complex commercial and real estate loans. Analyzes new loan applications and other loan servicing request through the thorough analysis of financial statements, and all other pertinent credit information. Responsible for the approval/denial of loan actions through either the utilization of an assigned delegated authority or recommendation to a higher level of delegated authority (i.e. Underwriting or Lending Managers, loan committees, or CCO). Supports the lending relationship by assisting applicants in completing loan applications and supporting financial information, and serving as an additional point of contact for the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

* Assists customers in the preparation of loan applications, financial statements, and budgets.* Analyzes financial statements, e.g., balance sheets and income statements, and other pertinent information required to process the loan request. Completes appropriate due diligence and presents facts and offer opinions regarding the overall creditworthiness of the request.* Responsible for ensuring loan request are in compliance with the Association's policies/procedures and FCA Regulations.* Inputs all required financial information and data into the financial analysis, loan origination and other loan processing systems.* Approves/denies loan actions within assigned delated lending authority or recommends approvals to the appropriate individuals or loan committees.* Assist with determining and reviewing legal documentation.* Works across departments and with outside vendors, as needed, to ensure an effective and efficient loan origination/loan servicing process.* Monitors assigned portfolio to determine potential servicing needs of the customer and to ensure customers stay in compliance with the terms and conditions of their loan(s).* Serves as a point of contact for the customers within a designated loan portfolio. Provides backup to loan officers on customer service issues and responds independently to requests for information and assistance. Communicates and promotes the availability of loan products and other financially related services* Serves as a trainer, mentor and trusted advisory to credit staff throughout the department.* Remains informed on the business, economic and industry risks which impacts a designated loan portfolio.* Represent the Association at public functions.* Perform other duties assigned.

LEVELS OF SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED:

Makes independent decisions, works under general supervision of the VP - Underwriting Manager, or designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* BA/BS degree with emphasis on agribusiness, business administration, or related major or four (4) years equitable experience is required.* Seven (7) years' previous Underwriting/ Lending experience is required. Previous Underwriting Leadership experience is preferred.* Advanced knowledge of agriculture and/or agribusiness, with demonstrated expertise in related regional commodities.* Broad knowledge of loan products and other financial related services* Strong understanding of sound credit administration practices with the ability to differentially analyze complex request.* Above average understanding of cash flow analysis, balance sheet analysis, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis.* Demonstrated analytical and statistical skills to effectively evaluate loan request and make the appropropriate independent opinion of credit worthiness of the applicant, aligned with the credit philosophy and risk appetite of the organization.* Proven ability to effectively manage an above average loan portfolio consisting of more complex credits.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Strong interpersonal skills.* Proficient in use of PC, including word-processing, e-mail, and electronic spreadsheet software* Must be proficient in organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.* Ability to travel is determined by the position needs is required.

PART-TIME REMOTE/HYBRID: These employees will work partly remote and partly onsite. Part-time remote employees will work with their managers to determine when and how often they are needed onsite.

PAY RANGE:

Minimum $94,411.61 - Max $147,518.15 Annual

This range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
